Sidewinder 9.99 released Mar 2, 2026 (New Release)
Corrected an issue in the v9.98 release that was incorrectly sizing the take-up on certain conveyors. This in turn was causing Sidewinder to lock up.
Corrected the pulley diameter warning from staying RED even when the diameter was acceptable.

Added the ability to directly import kml files created in “Google Earth Pro”. This is a nice feature when working with initial designs (particularly longer curved overland conveyors). The ground profile can also be directly generated in Google Earth and imported into Sidewinder.
Additional improvements for designing underground longwall and trunk conveyors and the new “loop take-up” option. This includes outputting the belt sag between the supporting rolls and other calculations.
The easiest way to use this feature is by simply adding one of the three default “reeved take-up” options from the “Input Layout” window. This will automatically add the complete conveyor geometry for a double, triple, or quad reeved take-up system.
The completed arrangement is shown in on the “Conveyor Profile tab”.
