The new ASCII property is a replacement for the Text property in Visual Studio. The .NET framework hides the Text property and maps it to the CtlText which cannot be modified in the standard property sheet in Visual Studio.
The GetPictureHandle method now allows to create 1-bit per pixel BMP images. Please note - the Microsoft Forms Image control does not load palette data form the image handle so barcode will be always black and white.

· Two new properties - PDF417HorzQuietZone and PDF417VertQuietZone allow to adjust left/right and top/bottom quiet zones of PDF417 barcodes. Starting from this version, PDF417 encoder will ignore the VBorderPercent property because percentage setting doesn't offer appropriate precision on small bitmaps and may cause incorrect measurements reported by BitmapH. To set horizontal quiet zone size for PDF417, use PDF417HorzQuietZone instead of HBorderSize.

· Numerous improvements in PDF417 encoder for better data compression.
· Compact PDF417 is now supported. See documentation for CompactPDF417.
· A fix for installing StrokeScribe on embedded systems.
· A new FontAntialiasing property allows to switch on/off font smoothing for text labels displayed below linear barcodes.
· Font smoothing is disabled for barcodes saved as GIF or monochrome BMP.
· A new PDF417ModuleAspectRatio property allows to set aspect ratio of PDF417 modules.
· A new PDF417SymbolAspectRatio property allows to indicate the desired width:height ratio of PDF417 picture when reading bitmap size from BitmapW/BitmapH properties.
· Width and Height parameters of the SavePicture method are non-optional now.
