i2k Quickage Pro combines digital photographs into panoramas and montages using image registration and recognition. It can stitch handheld photos taken without a tripod, adjust color differences between images, support HDR stitching, correct lens-induced distortion and automatically crop the result. The software is trialware for Windows.

i2k Quickage Pro is image-stitching software for photographers and other users who want to turn multiple digital pictures into a panorama or montage. It uses image registration and recognition to identify how images relate to one another, then combines them into a larger composition. The automatic process is designed to work with photos taken by hand, including images captured without a tripod.

For a panorama, the user supplies a set of photographs and lets the program align and stitch them. Because handheld shots may vary in position and angle, the software's registration technology helps match corresponding image content. It also adjusts color differences between pictures, making the joined result more consistent, and can automatically crop the finished image to remove unwanted outer areas.

The program includes HDR stitching for workflows involving high-dynamic-range images. It also corrects lens-induced distortions, helping address changes in shape introduced by a camera lens before the pictures are combined. These tools support a process that brings together alignment, visual adjustment and cropping rather than requiring each step to be handled separately.

Montage creation provides another way to combine a set of images, beyond producing a continuous panoramic view. This makes the software suitable for assembling related photographs into a single composition, as well as joining overlapping views of a scene. Automatic stitching can be useful for travel, landscape and architectural photography, or for documenting a wide subject that does not fit into one frame.

i2k Quickage Pro is trialware for Windows, including Windows 7. Its image-processing workflow centers on supplying digital photos and allowing the software to register, combine and refine them. Results can be checked after automatic cropping and color adjustment; photographs with suitable overlap give the stitching process image content to match. The program is intended for creating panoramas and montages rather than general-purpose photo editing.
