DameWare Mini Remote Control full changelog

This version of MRC provides the following improvements:
· New Licensing: You can automatically update your license when you update DameWare or renew your maintenance instead of manually entering new license keys. License keys from version 9.x can also use this new functionality. For more information, see KB400137.
· Proxy Support for Silent Installs: MRC and DRS include command-line arguments to add your proxy data. For more information, see KB400113 .
· Multiple bug fixes: For additional information, see quot;Resolved Issuesquot; in these release notes.

DameWare Mini Remote Control version 10.0 resolves the following issues in earlier versions:
· MRC crashes when connecting to a thin client using VNC.
· Cannot authenticate smart cards that have more than one certificate.
· Receive a quot;Configuring the remote system for first time use,quot; every time you connect to Windows 8 computers.
· When multiple people are connected to a session, only the first user can copy and paste.

· Windows 8 Support: You can now install MRC on computers running the latest Windows desktop operating system. MRC also connects to remote hosts running Windows 8.
· Linux and Mac Support: MRC now supports connections to Linux and Mac clients using a new VNC viewer option in the Remote Connect dialog. For additional information, see KB400115.
· Intel vPro Support: Both DRS (previously NT Utilities) and MRC now support Intel vPro hardware enabled with Active Management Technology (AMT). In MRC, connect to remote vPro systems even while they are booting up. For additional information, see KB400112.
· Backwards Compatibility: MRC is now backwards compatible with MRC client agents as far back as version 7.0. For additional information, see KB400116.
· Support for Silent Installs: Both DRS and MRC now include command-line arguments to support installing and licensing the products silently. For additional information, see KB400113.

· Chat
· With the chat feature in Version 8.0, you can chat online with your remote user as you troubleshoot or configure the remote machine. Now, there is no need to open WordPad and to type back and forth.

· Screenshot Capture
· Simply click to quickly capture and save a screenshot from the remote machine. This valuable feature is indispensable when working on help desk tickets or when documenting configuration settings for future reference. Now, there is no need to go through the process of pasting your screenshot into Paint™ and then saving it.

· No Protocol Revision. Current v7.x users will not be forced to update the DMRC Client Agent Service on the remote machine, provided they are already running version 7.0 or above.

· Minor Protocol Revision. Current v7.x users will not be forced to update the DMRC Client Agent Service on the remote machine, provided they are already running version 7.0 or above. A red warning dialog will be displayed instead. However, we recommend you update the Client Agent on the remote machine as soon as possible. Otherwise, some features may not work properly. Version 6.x Clients will require a forced upgrade.
· Modified Windows Firewall Exception logic. FW exception now created on Service install and removed on Service uninstall (instead of Service Start and Stop).
· Enhancements to Blank Monitor functionality when Logging on/off during a DMRC connection.
· SFT would not work during Reverse Connections. Fixed.
· Some DMRC Advanced Ping Options would not stick after being selected. Fixed.
