ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter reviews - Windows 7 Download

When the Icon is in my Hidden Icons near the time/date in the tray I can click it. When it disappears I can't.
I went to Start and found it. I click on it and it said: "I'm already running. Click the little Icon near the time." It is _not_ in tray or Hidden Icons.
I had to do a reboot for a program and I lost the Month's total. That is almost worse than losing the Icon!!
No "over run" stuff as stated above.

mine is also same problem it was working in 32 bit win7 but i have now installed 64 bit win 7 and it shows the error as "run time error 6' overflow'

Hi Arun M.Also running windows 7 with all the updates including Visual C++ 2010.and after installing ShaPlus.on rebooting,got the same Run-time error '6':Overflow.I believe the software vendor is aware of the problems and is working on a new version.When this will be available for download is anyone's guess.I hope that it will be soon because it really does work.

Followed Arun M ( April 13,2011) suggestions to the letter,not that I have not done this before after other assistance,and still no ShaPlus on my computer.Installed Visual C++ redistributable 2010 also and downloaded direct from ShaPlus. Visual C++ 2005 was already on my computer.Suppose I will have either do without ShaPlus or wait for a "New"version" I did get the error 6 error message after installing.

The program DOES work in windows 7 although I had my own set of problems with it. It used to work without any problems in xp. First when I installed it in 7, a 5MB usage was shown as 45-50MB. To correct this, open 'settings' by right-clicking tray icon, and disabling all types of interfaces (incl. Realtek Gigabit Ethernet or the like) but except the interface with the name of your connection. I couldnt identify it at first but after I changed connection name to 'bsnl####', it was much easier. Tick this one only. It might be named 'Network Connection' or something in your computer. Change it to something more easily identifiable.

I dont know why some people are having 'runtime error 6 overflow'. Maybe this has something to do with Visual Basic. My computer has Visual C++ redistributable 2005 and 2010 installed. Try installing that and see if it works.

This is a nice little program and in my experience, the only one which has an option to exclude night time usage and its free. Good luck with it.

To date no reason why software shows "error 6 overflow "in Windows 7 Pro.Will there be a updated version for this OS? Was under the impression that a new version would be ready by April 2011.Did work perfectly in Windows XP but now we need a version for Windows 7

To date still no reason what is causing error 6 overflow when installing ShaPlus Bandwidth Meter on Windows 7 OS.Will there ever be a fix because ShaPlus is very good.No other software is giving this error message when booting.

Cannot install in Windows 7 because of 'run-time error 6 overflow ' and cannot find any problems with other software which could be causing this.Did work for about 18 months but stopped suddenly in mid February 2011

as said before :good for XP and Vista but not for Win7,because it shows much more Internet Usage as it shoulde Fault is in the Settings
it SELECTS ALL THE NETWORK INTERFACES TO MONITOR even if unticked before
apart of that it is the Best simplest Usage Monitor on the Net for free

That is a good program if used with Windows XP.
It would be good with Windows 7 if it reported the proper statistics.

If I transfer a large file from one PC running XP to a PC running Windows 7,
ShaPlus reports the actual file size in Windows XP. When looking at ShaPlus
in Windows 7, it reports about 5 times the size of the file just transferred.

That problem needs to be fixed for Windows 7 to report the actual transfer values.
