Oval Gradient: Added Shape setting which can be either Oval or Rectangle. Oval produces the same effect as before with the Roundness slider producing squircles (blended rectangle and ellipse shapes). Rectangle is similar, but the Roundness setting produces rectangular shapes with rounded corners.
Oval Gradient Mask Tool: updated as in Oval Gradient transformation above to support rounded rectangle shaped masks.
Mask: fixed crash when switching between 8- and 16-bit masks in some cases when the mask paint tool had been applied.
File New: fixed problem with ignoring changes to text controls in some cases.
File Open: fixed problem of spurious warning about file date in some cases

Updated to ExifTool 13.39.
Restored an earlier method of horizontal scrolling of image browser.
If the image browser has a horizontal scroll bar, double clicking a thumbnail’s caption bar makes it the current transformation and then scrolls it as far to the left as possible. Depending on the layout of the image tree, you can use this to bring mask and input thumbnails of the transformations above or below the current transformation into view.

Corrected documentation and program messages to indicate the correct key combination for canceling a transformation or script is Ctrl+Alt and not Shift+Alt.
Fixed problem of status message not being erased in some cases when canceling the loading of a script file.
When canceling loading a script via Ctrl+Alt, you now have the option of bypassing the canceled transformation and continuing with it in an error state or terminating the script. When you subsequently edit the bypassed transformation, it is recalculated and the error is cleared.
Fixed several problems with editing transformations that are in an error state.
Export transformation: fixed problems with changes to output image not always propagating to downstream transformations, and a problem with certain text changes not being recognized if the text delay timer did not have a chance to time out

For various transformations that display an overlay on the input image but do not use the mouse scroll wheel to modify one of their settings, it is no longer necessary to hold down the Alt key to get the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in or out.
Hot Spot transformation: you can now use the mouse scroll wheel to adjust the radius or strength sliders.
Mask Touch tool has been temporarily removed.

Amount Control with mask: fixed problems in some cases with setting both black and white sliders to 100%.

To prevent problems with installing Picture Window for more than one user on the same computer, the settings folder (normally located in My DocumentsPicture Window Pro) has been relocated to the AppData folder (C:users<user name>AppDataLocalPicture Window Pro). If the old folder is present, on startup Picture Window automatically copies all the files from the old folder to the new folder and then deletes the old folder. If you are not already doing so, I strongly recommend backing up your AppData folder regularly. Note that this folder is normally hidden so to see it in Windows Explorer you need to turn on the View option to show hidden files. For fun, added Fractal to Special Effects submenu – this lets you explore the Mandelbrot set. See the help file or Transformations.pdf for details.
