Beethink IP Blocker is worth the small price. Their graphical user interface is intuitive and easy to use making for fast response time to threats. User support upon registration is above average, they are very responsive and timely. There are some problems.

After a month of of use I discovered Beethink IP Blocker has roughly a five percent failure rate. Now and then this software fails to block an IP Address as expected. Email support is excellent but after more than a dozen exchanges of information, Beethink still has not figured out what appears to be a bug in their software.

FAQ is virtually non-existent. Help file with Beethink is virtually non-existent. Use of advanced rules and exception rules is nearly impossible to figure out and there is a need for email support to write those rules. Beethink has a whois facility, arin. net, which does not work well and fails for many queries. This whois problem is easy to work around by using better quality independent whois software.

Beethink IP Blocker is much better than Peer Guardian 2 software. Peer Guardian has no facility for IP Address blocking on port 80 on an individual basis, only blocking all port 80 access or none at all.

I rate Beethink an overall 4 rather than 5 because of this unresolved bug and lack of a decent FAQ and Help file. Should you not mind a periodic failure to block an address, Beethink works well. Should you need ironclad security without fail, Beethink is not your best choice, but then there are only two choices for this type of software, Beethink and Peer Guardian. Beethink is the better by far.
