ARADO is an open-source bookmark manager for organizing saved URLs and keeping collections in sync across connected devices. It can synchronize directly between selected computers without a central server, or transfer bookmarks through import and export. Search across connected collections, remove duplicate entries, and check whether saved pages have changed. Users can also share bookmark collections with friends by connecting their devices. ARADO states that it does not track users.

ARADO is an open-source bookmark manager for people who want to keep web addresses organized across more than one computer or device. It stores URLs in a bookmark database and provides tools to add, arrange, search, and maintain them. Rather than relying on a company-hosted account, ARADO is a community application that can connect selected devices directly, giving users control over which bookmark collections are shared.

Bookmarks can be organized in the database and searched when users need to retrieve a saved page. The search experience can draw on collections from connected ARADO devices, so addresses saved at home and work can be brought together rather than kept in isolated browser lists. Users decide which devices to connect; connecting a friend’s device can also make that person’s bookmarks available for shared browsing and discovery.

Synchronization can be handled through import and export, or through ARADO’s network function to connect two or more devices. Import and export provide a manual way to transfer or combine saved URLs, while a network connection supports synchronization between selected computers and other supported devices. The program can also identify duplicate entries, helping maintain a cleaner collection when bookmarks have been merged from multiple sources.

ARADO includes a check for whether the content of saved web pages has changed, which can help users review older bookmarks and spot pages that may have been updated. Its combination of bookmark organization, synchronization, duplicate checking, and web-page change checking is suited to people who save many useful links, move between work and home computers, or want to share selected resources with friends. The community-based search approach depends on users adding and connecting bookmark collections; it is not a general-purpose search engine that crawls the entire web.

The software is open source and does not use a central synchronization server: connected devices communicate directly, while import and export remain an alternative. ARADO states that it does not track users. It is available for Windows 7 and earlier Windows systems, including Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. Its focus is saved URLs, so it complements rather than replaces a web browser; browser bookmarks can be transferred through the available import and export workflow.
