VPN reliability & behavior:
VPN crash during shutdown fixed:
A timing issue where DNS-over-HTTPS notifications arrived after the VPN’s internal DNS cache was torn down has been fixed, preventing a crash in the VPN service during shutdown.
Correct VPN “connection established” event on auto-reconnect:
When “reconnect after restarting” is enabled and VPN connects automatically after reboot, the vpn_connection_established event is now emitted reliably so dependent experiences (like targeted messages) behave correctly.
Web protection, QUIC & browser stability:
Chrome HTTP/3 (QUIC) long-idle stability improved:
Chrome’s experimental long QUIC idle timeout (up to 300s) is now supported correctly. QUIC connections that go idle and then resume are cleanly re-attached and scanned without errors or timeouts.

What Was Fixed:
Installer & Removal:
The removal tool now shows the correct product name and partner-branded caption, and no longer displays an outdated message in these scenarios.
Firewall & VPN:
Fixed an issue where a manually added firewall component could be removed during a product update. Manually installed firewall protection now stays in place.
Network & Web Protection:
Fixed unnecessary background checks of secure DNS servers on network changes when DNS protection is not enabled. These checks now run only when the relevant protection features are turned on.
Deepfake & Media Protection:
Resolved a problem where automatic media scanning for fake audio could cause the app to freeze and close. Media scans now complete reliably without creating error reports in this scenario.
Home Screen & Graphics:
Fixed a problem where some illustrations on the main security screen were not downloaded correctly, leaving blank image areas. The images now load as intended.
Scam Protection Dashboard:
The scam dashboard now shows scam details in the same language as the product interface, instead of always using English.

The small change in the build is related to the Norton brand only and because it shares the common stack, the build is new for AVG too.
