The software has been designed as universal application for security hybrid platforms functioning simultaneously with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar look and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Customers see MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete control of the software using net that surveillance station can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular structure extensively improves reliability because all components operate as autonomous applications. If one module freezes, other parts go on running. For example if the `capture` module fails, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture via a `playback` module. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be started by motion, human face recognition, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on apart server using Web interface. The software does simultaneous video playback for event examination from many cameras concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
