Distrix System Builder provides developers of heterogeneous electronic systems with the tools required to create and deploy a robust, low-latency communications infrastructure for use within single systems or as a flexible mechanism to integrate multiple products to create systems-of-systems.

Distrix System Builder simplifies the design, coding, and implementation of information exchange in distributed systems by providing an easy-to-use graphical interface to describe the information and processes within systems and link them together in to the required configuration.

By decoupling the application logic from the environmental implementation Distrix System Builder enables developers to change operational details such as the deployment platform and Quality of Service parameters without impacting application and interface logic.

A rich library of hardware and API abstractions allows software testing in fully- or partially-simulated environments before deployment into the target environment.

At the heart of Distrix System Builder is Distrix Core Services, Spark's information exchange infrastructure used as a platform for distributed real-time systems. The infrastructure is a highly robust, fault tolerant, lightweight, low latency communications platform that allows distributed processes to communicate through data publications and subscriptions.

· Support was added for 64-bit Windows in the client library
· Support was added for 64-bit Windows in the server library

Improvements:
· The generated code for embedded servers has been changed to allow System Manager support to be disabled without regenerating the code.
· The ability to disable metadata at compile/runtime in generated code was added.
· Visual Studio labeling in Distrix System Builder was changed to better reflect supported versions.
· Arrow controls have been added to re-order the protocols in System Builder protocol dialogs (drag and drop reordering is still supported)
· Generated comment lengths have been changed to be less than eighty (80) characters per line.
· Generated C# agents were changed to allow the callback functions to take the actual proxy type rather than a generic proxy type.
· Remote method documentation has been improved.
· The process of licensing an embedded server has been documented.
