AudioMulch contains many audio synthesis and processing modules and may also be used to host VST plugins.

While many of the processes featured within AudioMulch are not new to computer music programs, it is the software's ability to carry out these traditionally "studio" or "non-real-time" signal processing techniques in real-time that emerges as its major asset. With AudioMulch, music that has for so long been limited to the pre & post-production practices of a studio can emerge in a new LIVE and interactive context.

Through the essentially unlimited (only by the power of the computer) combination of a network of synthesis and processing contraptions, AudioMulch allows the user to extend their current audio processing capabilities or create new music within their computer without additional expensive software or hardware systems.

AudioMulch is a real-time sound synthesis and audio processing application usable as an audio effects processor or a complete music composition.

· Fixed bug where contraption preset window would spontaneously disappear when one of the contraption editor button tooltips displayed and then hid.
· Fixed bug in audio settings where setting devices to None was not remembered after restarting AudioMulch. Instead, the default device and all channels would be selected at next startup.
· Fixed bug/crash assertion failure quot;DRAG_STATE_NONEquot; when trying to drag 5Combs contraption editor while pitch selection window was visible.
· Fixed bug where selection of AIFF files was not possible during the quot;locate missing sound filesquot; process.
· Improved scroll wheel behavior in properties pane. Scroll wheel no longer gets stuck on individual controls while scrolling the whole view. Scroll wheel now only acts on number editors when they already have input focus. Scroll wheel never acts on combo boxes and FilePlayer/Recorder location bars.
· Mac: improved stability of MIDI clock sync generation output.
