ActiveXperts Network Monitor monitors Windows, UNIX, LINUX and Novell computers and TCP/IP devices. It runs a service on Windows 2003/2000/NT server platforms or Vista/XP/2000 workstations. It is an agentless product; the software is only installed on a central server. When the engine detects a failure, it alerts via network message, e-mail, pager, SNMP Trap (SNMP v1 and SNMP v2c) notification or SMS message (support for TAPI, Unicode, TAP, UCP and SMPP). The software takes a corrective action automatically. It can monitor Microsoft SQL Serves through OLE DB ADO interface, and Oracle through SQL*NET interface like TNS Ping. Other databases such as Access, FoxPro, Paradox, SyBase, Informix, IBM DB2 are also supported.
